Michael Gordon

Michael Gordon, a Partner and StoneTurn’s Chief Financial Officer, brings significant experience in corporate finance, accounting, and business valuation matters, all in the context of strategic decision-making, as well as complex business litigation.

As StoneTurn’s Chief Financial Officer, Michael leads the firm’s finance, accounting and financial reporting functions. He is actively involved in driving strategic growth, as well as assessing risks and opportunities to define, analyze, and pursue the firm’s goals and objectives.

Michael’s client service experience has involved advising counsel and their clients on matters involving economic damages, lost profits and other financial analyses in support of post-acquisition, contract, shareholder, intellectual property and solvency-related disputes. He also has experience participating in corporate investigations involving improper revenue recognition, employee and executive fraud, internal controls, and the misapplication of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). In an advisory capacity, Michael’s work has involved complex financial modeling, market analyses and business enterprise valuation in support of business planning, proposed transactions and strategic capital investment decisions.

Michael has led engagements serving public and privately-held companies across industries, including manufacturing, consumer products, technology, hospitality, retail, software, energy, financial services and healthcare.

Prior to joining StoneTurn, Michael provided financial and strategic advisory services at several leading consulting firms. He began his career in the audit practice of Ernst & Young.

Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Massachusetts and is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) by the AICPA. Michael is also an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers.
