Amanda Stephens, a Managing Director with StoneTurn, brings over eight years of experience in conducting forensic accounting investigations and providing litigation support for complex business disputes.
Amanda conducts independent accounting investigations into financial reporting irregularities, misappropriation of assets, and other misconduct in response to government investigations and whistleblower complaints. Amanda frequently conducts these investigations and provides litigation support in connection with SEC enforcement matters involving GAAP, controls, disclosures, and non-GAAP measures. Similarly, Amanda has experience defending audit firms and engagement teams in connection with alleged violations of PCAOB or generally accepted auditing standards. Amanda also has extensive experience conducting sophisticated flow of funds analyses in response to allegations of misappropriation of assets either in the context of an internal investigation or a dispute.
In addition to her forensic accounting investigation experience, Amanda has supported an anti-trust monitorship by assessing compliance with the court-ordered mandate. Amanda also has experience in calculating damages in litigation matters alleging breach of contract as well as patent and trademark infringement.
Prior to joining StoneTurn, Amanda was with a mid-size, Texas-based accounting firm where she provided litigation services primarily in the context of marital dissolution.
Amanda is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
