Derek Miller, a Managing Director with StoneTurn, has nearly a decade of experience supporting clients and their counsel with forensic accounting investigations and other complex business litigation matters.

Derek has worked with clients and their counsel on a range of complex litigation matters and disputes including breach of contract matters, insurance claims, post-acquisition disputes, and other commercial disputes. His experience includes the preparation of expert witness reports, economic damages calculations, pre-trial analyses, and other analyses for submission to various forums including arbitration panels and United States District Courts. He also has experience interviewing client personnel and supporting counsel in deposition and testimony preparation.

Derek has contributed to engagements with the Department of Justice that involved the evaluation and calculation of damages suffered related to the submission of fraudulent and false claims in violation of the federal False Claims Act. He also has experience with conducting internal control assessments, financial analyses related to the application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and evaluating the reasonableness of public disclosures and financial reporting by public companies.

Derek is a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts) and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
