Piers de Wilde, a Partner at StoneTurn, has more than 18 years of experience in business intelligence, investigations and litigation support. Specifically, he focuses on pre-transactional due diligence, litigation support, specialist investigations and strategic intelligence. Working with deal teams, general counsel, law firms and strategic communications advisers, he has led asset traces and litigation support matters, major fraud and corruption investigations, including U.K. Bribery Act and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) matters, cross-border due diligence and compliance projects, and supported cyber and forensic technology investigations.

His core focus area is on matters in EMEA, although recent case work has included projects in India, North and South America, and Southeast Asia. He regularly works with UK and US counsel on international cross-border matters, from asset tracing to compliance investigations including FCPA and UKBA matters, M&A situations, and computer forensics matters.

Piers has significant experience in working with private equity and other financial services clients on pre-transactional due diligence globally and assisting with investor relations strategies and strategic communications in complex disputes.

He has worked with clients across industries including consumer goods, energy, extractives, financial services and private equity, government, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and telecoms.

Before joining StoneTurn, Piers was a Director at Berkeley Research Group and prior to this he was with FTI Consulting, where he was a Managing Director and co-lead of the EMEA Business Intelligence practice. He began his career at Aegis Defence Services, a security and private risk management company.
