A former regulator with the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority, Louis brings significant expertise in corporate compliance, regulatory inquiries and forensic investigations, as well as in-depth knowledge of the financial services and insurance industries.

Prior to his work with StoneTurn, Louis was Group Head of Financial Crime at Towergate Insurance. Specifically, he led two anti-money laundering project assurance reviews and assisted the Group Financial Crime Assurance team of a major U.K. retail bank in re-designing its financial crime assurance testing methodology. Louis also led FCA financial crime supervision visit preparations at a major U.K. retail bank, including policy review, staff briefings, mock interviews and system walkthroughs, which resulted in a positive regulatory outcome for the bank.

As a regulator at the Financial Conduct Authority (f/k/a U.K. Financial Services Authority), Louis led forensic reviews into suspected regulatory misconduct relating to systems and controls in the retail banking industry.
