Midori Knowles

Midori Knowles, a Manager with StoneTurn, has more than 5 years of experience in Compliance and Monitoring, Investigations, and Litigation Advisory. Specifically, she focuses on regulatory inquiries, risks & controls testing, and financial fraud.

Working with counsel, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions, she has led multiple teams advising on and testing elements of corporate compliance programs. In these roles, she has conducted reviews of anti-money laundering compliance controls, culture of integrity and compliance, remediation and stakeholder reporting, supervisory frameworks, non-compliance and breach management frameworks, and ethics, compliance and financial crime training.

Additionally, Midori has experience in assisting clients, including not-for profit organizations, with investigation and litigation matters relating to revenue recognition, asset misappropriation, internal controls, earnings management, applications of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and disclosure issues. Her experience also includes the preparation of expert reports, quantitative analyses of financial transactions related to alleged acts of self-dealing and mismanagement of funds, and extensive evaluations of the existence of fraud risk indicators.

Prior to joining StoneTurn, Midori was with Grant Thornton, where she served as a forensic advisory services associate.

Midori is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Massachusetts.
