Yven Heine, a Managing Director with StoneTurn, has more than 20 years of experience in compliance and monitoring and risks and controls. Most recently, Yven worked as part of the Forensic Adviser team supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ)-Appointed Independent Compliance Monitor and Auditor of Volkswagen AG – one of the largest and most high-profile corporate compliance monitorships in history.

As part of the VW monitorship team, Yven served as the key contact for the VW brand and oversaw all risk management-related matters for the VW and Audi brands. He led risk management testing for both VW and Audi and partnered with a multidisciplinary team of attorneys, forensic accountants and compliance professionals responsible for risk-related procedures. His specific focus was on the design and implementation of internal controls and supporting systems, ensuring all compliance, risk management and training protocols were met. Yven also led the review of VW’s monitoring controls related to the implementation of key internal controls and rules of procedure related to the product development process, a critical area of VW’s during the monitorship.

Yven has worked with clients across industries such as financial services, automotive and transportation. Additionally, he has worked with start-up companies across various sectors.

Prior to joining StoneTurn, Yven was with Barclays Bank PLC, where he worked in risk management. He helped lead the implementation of controls and processes, while mitigating risks, including Enterprise Risk Management Framework, at Barclaycard in Germany.

Previously, he was with Bombardier Transportation, where he worked in Group Compliance. Specifically, he worked on implementing Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and Ontario Security Commission (OSC) internal controls across multiple locations, including various eastern European countries.

Yven is a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in Massachusetts). He is a native German speaker, and is fluent in English.
