Contact Nathan
Nathan has over seven years of experience in forensic accounting, compliance monitoring, and fraud risk assessments, with a focus on assessing and remediating compliance programs within the context of FCPA monitorships, anti-money laundering (AML) investigations, and export control reviews.
Partnering with legal counsel, Nathan has led compliance audits and program reviews for global leaders in the telecommunications and aerospace industries. He specializes in assessing Know-Your-Customer (KYC) programs and internal controls, notably within the context of high-profile FCPA monitorships for an Asian electronics multinational ($137M settlement) and a Brazilian aeronautics conglomerate ($205M settlement). Additionally, Nathan supported a 10-year U.S. Department of Commerce export control monitorship for a major Chinese telecommunications company, where he tested supplier compliance procedures and cross-border inventory tracking across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. He also served on the Independent Consultant team evaluating technical compliance processes and controls for a Japanese engine manufacturer in response to U.S. Clean Air Act enforcement actions.
Nathan has participated in both national and global investigations in a range of industries including banking and finance, aerospace, mining, oil and gas, and manufacturing. Most notably, he contributed to the investigation and compliance assessment of one of the world’s largest foreign bribery resolutions ($4B), focused on an internal AML investigation of a Scandinavian bank involving a massive multi-jurisdictional bribery scheme.
Nathan has also performed anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) compliance reviews of Fortune 500 telecommunications companies, evaluating the effectiveness of their ABAC programs inclusive of processes and controls in place. He further Executed complex damage calculations for two oil and gas companies involved in the “Operation Car Wash” investigation.
Prior to joining StoneTurn, Nathan served as a Manager in the Legal, Monitorships and Investigations practice at BDO USA and was a Senior Associate with Forensic Risk Alliance. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Washington D.C.
