Robert DeCicco, Senior Adviser, has more than 20 years of experience in digital forensic technology services and cybersecurity. A former civilian employee of the NSA, he advises companies and their counsel on matters related to digital forensics, incident response, e-Discovery and cybersecurity.
Robert works across sectors on complex data acquisition and forensic examinations. He has actively managed and defended the collection, analysis and reporting on the behavior of data from electronic evidence from thousands of computers, cloud-based storage environments, IoT, mobile and emerging data systems from highly complex, disparate and sensitive technology environments globally.
Robert previously held NSA Department of Defense Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance, along with a full-scope, counter-intelligence polygraph and a 10-year DOJ background investigation. He is a court accepted expert in the fields of digital forensics, information security, deleted data recovery and remediation, data analytics, e-Discovery and processing, computer programming and electronic evidence verification, remediation, and disposition. He has provided expert reports, rebuttals and defended his opinions in both civil and criminal matters in state, district, and federal courts.
Robert regularly works alongside regulatory and law enforcement agencies to provide acceptable practices and forensically sound data and analysis protocols. He also maintains active involvement in the standard operating procedures group related to acceptable methodologies related to electronically stored information (ESI) collection and analysis in the field and the lab. He routinely lectures to the legal community and Computer Forensics communities on topics related to e-Discovery, cybersecurity and computer forensics.
