Owen Heimer

Owen Heimer, a Partner with StoneTurn, has 10 years of experience serving in senior corporate compliance roles. He focuses on internal investigations, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, trade sanctions, gifts and entertainment, third-party processes, codes of conduct, policies and procedures, monitoring and training.

Currently, Owen is part of a StoneTurn team serving as the federally-appointed Independent Compliance and Business Ethics Monitor to a Top 10 global investment bank. He leads evaluation and remediation efforts around the bank’s global compliance program.

Prior to his affiliation with StoneTurn, Owen was with Marsh & McLennan Companies for a decade, where he was most recently Deputy Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for supervising internal investigations, anti-corruption programs, and policies, monitoring and training. Previously, he was with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, where he became a bureau chief and was the courtroom prosecutor in a number of prominent white collar crime, organized crime and murder trials. Earlier in his career, Owen was a litigation associate with Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York.

Owen is a frequent speaker on corporate compliance programs, criminal practice, trial practice and legal ethics.
