Edward Levy, a Manager with StoneTurn, has more than 12 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, and assurance services. He has primarily worked within the internal audit function of large, publicly held manufacturing corporations.
Ed has experience across various sub-sectors of the manufacturing industry, including aerospace, automotive, electronic equipment manufacturing, food equipment, industrial automation, oil and gas, scrap metal recycling, textile production, and waste management.
He has worked extensively with executive management in the development and implementation of enterprise risk management (“ERM”) programs, as well as integration within the respective internal audit plans. This has included leading risk management projects which focused on the evaluation of ERM risk identification, measurement, and mitigation programs. He has collaborated with risk steering committees to identify where internal audit could aid in the risk management process.
In addition, Ed has worked closely with legal counsel and acquired valuable knowledge in areas of regulatory trade compliance, anti-corruption, and third party due diligence practices.
Ed has also led assurance work to address internal controls over financial reporting (“ICOFR”), management reporting (“FP&A”), trade compliance matters (Import / Export), third party due diligence, and investigative work.
Prior to joining StoneTurn, Ed was a Senior Manager of Internal Audit with Sims Metal Management, an industry leading Scrap Metal Recycler.
Prior to Sims, he worked as a Manager within the Internal Audit function of Dover Corporation.
Ed is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (“IIA”). He is fluent in German and has a DSH designation through the University of Würzburg in Germany.
