Neil Zoltowski, Partner with StoneTurn, serves as a consulting and testifying financial expert in complex business disputes, intellectual property (IP) litigation, and business and IP valuation matters.
Neil has testified as an expert witness on behalf of both Plaintiffs and Defendants in IP disputes and commercial litigation matters with respect to economic damages. He has been designated as an expert in various federal and state courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings. He has also assisted numerous clients in preparing for mediation and in planning for negotiations with third parties for license rights to IP assets.
Neil has more than 25 years of experience in the evaluation and quantification of economic damages in IP disputes, including patent, copyright and trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and false advertising and deceptive trade practices under the Lanham Act, as well as commercial disputes such as breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair competition, shareholder disputes, and diminution of business value claims.
Neil also has experience in IP and business valuation matters; has designed and executed compliance inspection programs and royalty audits; and has consulted with clients on licensing issues across a broad range of industries, including computer hardware and software, consumer products and services, Internet and e-commerce, electronics, insurance, media and publishing, mobile devices, pay television and streaming, semiconductors, software, and telecommunications, among others.
Neil’s prior consulting experience includes several years at Deloitte, NERA Economic Consulting, and FTI Consulting.
Neil holds two designations from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, which include the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and the Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF) with a Business and Intellectual Property Damages concentration. Neil also holds the Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) designation that is associated with the Licensing Executives Society, and the Certified Patent Valuation Analyst (CPVA) from the Business Development Academy.
