Ellen Graper, a Partner at StoneTurn, has more than 15 years of experience enhancing and implementing controls for most of the world’s registered public accounting firms through her work at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).
For over a decade, Ellen oversaw the evaluation framework for Board determinations under PCAOB Rule 4009 for both domestic non-affiliated, international non-affiliated, and international affiliated accounting firms. In this role, she presented more than 1,000 recommendations to the Board – all of which were accepted. Ellen managed the remediation process for all but the 10 largest registered accounting firms worldwide and authored the PCAOB policy manual for non-affiliated firm remediation.
She brings significant expertise in root-cause analysis and post-issuance reviews of audit engagements. Ellen has also conducted over 100 domestic and international inspections for the PCAOB.
Ellen currently assists PCAOB-registered accounting firms in navigating SEC and PCAOB enforcement orders, as well as firms preparing for or responding to a PCAOB Inspection.
Prior to joining StoneTurn, Ellen was instrumental in the launch of a regulatory consulting practice focused on PCAOB-registered accounting firms. She began her career at Deloitte, where she specialized in the audits of issuers including global media companies and construction contractors.
Ellen is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
