Amanda Stephens

Amanda Stephens, a Manager with StoneTurn, brings seven years of experience in litigation and consulting services in the context of fraud investigations and business disputes.

Amanda specializes in assisting counsel in:

  • Defending public companies and officers in connection with SEC enforcement inquiries and class action lawsuits involving GAAP, controls, disclosures, and non-GAAP measures.
  • Conducting independent investigations into financial reporting issues in response to government investigations and whistleblower complaints.
  • Defending audit firms and engagement teams in connection with alleged violations of PCAOB auditing standards.

Many of these investigative matters require forensic accounting expertise as well as sophisticated analyses of company financial records or audit workpapers. In addition to her investigation experience, Amanda has calculated damages in litigation matters alleging patent and trademark infringement as well as breach of contract.

Prior to joining StoneTurn, Amanda was with a mid-size, Texas-based accounting firm where she provided litigation services primarily in the context of marital dissolution where she traced, valued, and characterized assets.

Amanda is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
