Alan Ratliff assembled a panel of practicing attorneys to discuss Hot Topics in Litigation and Damages in IP during the Litigation Track at the AIPLA’s annual meeting in Washington, DC.
Jason Hoffman of Baker & Hostetler (patents), Charles Ossola of Vinson & Elkins (trade secrets), Michael Heinlen of Thompson & Knight (copyrights) and Alex Bistline of Pirkey Barber (trademarks) participated in the discussion. Each panelist presented background on a substantive litigation issue and a current damages issue related to their respective subject matters. Later, the panel addressed follow-up questions before taking general questions from the floor. Paul Kitch of Nixon Peabody served as a co-coordinator for the event.
