Nathan Gibson, StoneTurn Manager

Nathan Gibson has more than six years of experience in forensic accounting and compliance monitoring. Specifically, he focuses on FCPA monitorships, anti-money laundering (AML) investigations and export control compliance.

Working with counsel, Nathan has led compliance audits involving export controls and FCPA compliance for major telecommunications and aerospace conglomerates.

Nathan has participated in both national and global investigations in a range of industries including banking and finance, aerospace, mining, oil and gas, and manufacturing. Most notably, Nathan has worked on one of the largest foreign bribery resolutions (USD 4 billion) involving an internal AML investigation of a European bank, focused on a massive bribery scheme covering multiple jurisdictions

Nathan has also performed anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) compliance reviews of Fortune 500 telecommunications companies, evaluating the effectiveness of their ABAC programs inclusive of processes and controls in place.

Recently, Nathan was involved in monitoring the export control compliance program of a telecommunications conglomerate, under a 10-year monitorship from the U.S. Department of Commerce. Nathan has also executed damage calculations for two separate oil and gas companies involved in operation “Car Wash.”

Prior to joining StoneTurn, Nathan was with BDO USA, where he served as manager in the legal, monitorships and investigations practice. Previously, he was with Forensic Risk Alliance as a Senior Associate.

Nathan holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in Washington D.C.
