Luc Marty, a Senior Adviser with StoneTurn, has more than 25 years of specialized expertise in disputes and litigation support, investigations involving business fraud, due diligence, and matters related to shareholder agreements.

Luc has advised companies of all sizes (micro-enterprises, SMEs, large and listed corporations, Authorities) in the following circumstances:

  • Civil and commercial litigation,
  • Company valuation,
  • Fraud investigations,
  • Analysis of the origin of corporate failure,
  • Appraisal of accounting systems, and
  • Identification of responsibilities.

He has vast experience advising companies dealing with fraud specifically in instances of accounting fraud (increases in assets or decreases in liabilities); VAT fraud; tax credit fraud and corporate tax frauds; computer fraud with regard to data streams; embezzlement committed by individuals; and fictitious employment.  He has also led large investigations related to anti-money laundering on behalf of the banking and AML Authorities of a European country. From 2013-2017 he served as an expert advisor to the Financial Irregularities Authority at the European Parliament.

Luc also has deep expertise having served as an expert for purposes of dispute resolution and arbitration internationally in many different forums: ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, etc. He has been continuously appointed as an independent expert according to article 1592 of French civil code to depart buyers and sellers on financial and accounting technical matters in relation with the valuation of shares.

From 1998 to 2025 Luc was a Partner at Mazars where he worked as a specialist in complex situations within the Financial Advisory Services Department. At Mazars the majority of his work dealt with restructuring issues in France and Europe.

Luc is Chartered Accountant and Statutory Auditor. He is accredited as an expert by IEAM (2013), he is a member of INSOL Europe, of the Association Française de l’Arbitrage (AFA), of the Compagnie Française de l’Arbitrage (CFA) and he was the representative of Mazars at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He is also a member of the Valuation Commission of the CNCC (Compagnie Nationale des Commissaires aux Comptes).

Luc graduated from IEP Paris and from the “Rouen’s Institute of legal studies” (Institut d’études judiciaires de Rouen), and he trained as a mediator of Centre for Mediation and Arbitration of Paris (CMAP).
