Georgene Britz, a Senior Adviser with StoneTurn, has more than three decades of experience serving clients in the financial services, software, retail, construction, and manufacturing industries. She assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, equity security and debt offerings, and several other SEC filings.

Most recently, Georgene was the Office Managing Partner and Audit Practice Leader in the Houston office of Grant Thornton LLP. As one of the firm’s largest offices, Georgene managed 350 partners and employees. Prior to Grant Thornton, Georgene spent four years with the accounting firm Ham, Langston and Brezina and 13 years with Arthur Andersen.

Over the course of her career, Georgene has worked with clients including Edelman Financial Group, Sanders Morris Harris, Orion Marine Group, Stellus Capital Management, Luby’s Inc., Main Street Capital Corporation, Willbros Group, Inc., U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc., RTIC Outdoors, and Pappas Restaurants. She primarily works with companies in the small to middle market segment.

Georgene is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She is also a member of the Accounting Advisory Council at the University of Texas – Austin. Since 2018, she has been a member of the Board of Boys and Girls Country of Houston, Inc., serving in a variety of capacities including Treasurer and most recently, Chairperson.
