Dmitry Sachkov, StoneTurn Managing Director

Dmitry Sachkov, Managing Director with StoneTurn, has more than 13 years of experience in corporate investigations. Specifically, he focuses on investigative due diligence, strategic intelligence, and litigation support.

Working with multinationals, financial services firms and their outside counsel, Dmitry has overseen hundreds of intelligence-led assignments, including pre-transactional due diligence, asset tracing, market entry studies and strategic intelligence gathering, as well as internal investigations. Dmitry has also worked on financial crime business-wide risk assessments and advised clients on recommended internal controls uplifts.

His geographical area of expertise is Central and Eastern Europe, and Central Asia. A native Russian speaker, Dmitry led some of the most complex and sensitive investigative matters in this part of the world, many of which were cross-border.

Dmitry also regularly advises on international sanctions matters, helping in-house and outside counsel to source granular intelligence to inform sanctions-related decisions.

Dmitry has worked with clients in various industries, including energy, commodity trading, technology and telecommunications, life sciences and financial services, with a particular focus on private wealth managers and investment banks.

Prior to joining StoneTurn, Dmitry was with the law firm Ashurst, where he was a Director at the risk advisory practice. Previously, he spent 12 years at The Risk Advisory Group, where he was the head of the Russia, Eastern Europe and Eurasia team.
