Andrew Leddy, a Manager with StoneTurn, has more than 13 years of experience supporting global banks from a risk and audit perspective. He focuses on data governance, anti-money laundering (AML) program management, global markets, enterprise risk management, and applying data science and analytics to substantive controls testing.
Andrew has reviewed surveillance programs as part of StoneTurn’s role as Compliance Consultant for global financial services companies, investment managers, and credit rating agencies in response to SEC and CFTC enforcements regarding electronic communications and record retention requirements.
Prior to joining StoneTurn, Andrew was a leader in State Street Corporation’s internal audit department, where he performed risk assessment and assurance in a wide range of areas. He implemented digital solutions to support global risk monitoring and led the technical aspects of a long-term audit universe remediation project. Andrew represented internal audit as a voting member of the enterprise data governance board.
Previously, Andrew was with Royal Bank of Scotland where he designed and formalized a global policy alignment function covering AML/Know Your Customer (KYC) onboarding risk and developed a first-line control framework covering KYC onboarding. Andrew led teams participating in the remediation of large-scale issues related to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/AML program, Customer Identification Program (CIP)/KYC, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Politically Exposed Person (PEP), and Sanctions.
