StoneTurn is engaged by a foreign government to design and oversee a program to distribute approximately $150 million worth of cryptocurrency to more than 100,000 digital wallets held by individuals subject to or impacted by U.S. sanctions imposed upon the government and certain entities of the recipients’ country of residence. StoneTurn’s investigations, compliance, data analytics and sanctions experts ensure that data is securely received, compiled, reconciled and administered in accordance with client instructions and requirements contained in various OFAC licenses governing the distribution program. StoneTurn also ensures the program and involved parties are compliant with applicable anti-corruption and anti-money laundering laws and regulations and assists with reporting to and communications with OFAC and the Federal Reserve.
