Sid Verma, a Managing Director with StoneTurn, has more than 12 years of experience in investigations, anti-corruption, compliance and monitoring, auditing, and litigation and disputes support.
Sid has assisted leading law firms and corporations globally with FCPA anti-corruption compliance reviews, forensic accounting investigations, fraud risk management, pre-acquisition due diligence reviews, risk mitigation audits and internal controls assessments. He currently serves as an area of focus leader in StoneTurn’s role as the Forensic Adviser to the Independent Compliance Monitor and Auditor of a Fortune 10 automaker.
Sid has worked with clients across a broad range of industries, including automotive, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, financial services, e-commerce, consumer products, energy and industrial manufacturing. He has conducted and managed engagements across the world, including in North and South America, Europe, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Sid has reported findings and recommendations to legal counsel, boards of directors, the DOJ, the Federal Reserve Board (FRB), the U.S. Department of Treasury (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency – OCC) and various international regulators.
Prior to joining StoneTurn, Sid was with KPMG, where he served as an Associate Director in the Forensic practice in India. Sid assisted several global companies with forensic investigations, anti-corruption compliance and fraud risk management engagements in South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Previously, he worked in the Risk Advisory practices of Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the Midwest region. In these roles, Sid focused on FCPA compliance and investigation projects, as well as internal controls risk assessments and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance engagements.
Sid is a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in Michigan), Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi.
