Patrick has more than 20 years’ experience in forensic accounting, investigations and litigation support. He has advised clients across a range of different industries in Europe and further afield, including the U.S., the Cayman Islands, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Brunei.
Working with law firms, corporates, insolvency practitioners, public bodies and regulators, Patrick has conducted numerous assignments focusing on fraud and contentious regulatory, contractual and accounting issues, and related litigation proceedings. His experience spans a range of sectors including retail, warehousing and distribution, shipping, defense, infrastructure/PFI, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals, with a particular emphasis on the financial services sector, including asset management, offshore funds, and structured finance.
Patrick combines technical accounting and analytical skills with an ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. A particular focus of Patrick’s work throughout his career has been data analytics, including the identification, extraction, integration and analysis of large volumes of transactional data from core accounting and other business systems.
Patrick joined StoneTurn from Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) where he was a Senior Director in the Expert Services Group. Prior to this, Patrick worked at Kinetic Partners, FTI and KPMG. He has also acted as an independent consultant during which time he advised on and assisted with certain high-profile regulatory investigations following the global credit crisis. He began his career as an intelligence analyst for Cleveland Police.
Patrick earned an MSc in investigative psychology from Liverpool University and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
