David Kirk, a Managing Director at StoneTurn, has nearly two decades of experience with complex commercial litigation, professional malpractice, forensic investigations, shareholder disputes, audit, matrimonial disputes, business valuations and other forensic services.
David has prepared damages models for numerous cases, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, diminution of value, shareholder oppression and misappropriation of trade secrets. He has served clients in various sectors, including energy, real estate, retail and consumer goods and technology throughout the U.S. and internationally.
Prior to joining StoneTurn, David assisted clients for over 18 years through his work in the national assurance and forensic, litigation and valuation services practices of several professional services firms.
David is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Texas, Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) – American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) – AICPAHe is a member of the AICPA and has been recognized by his peers in the forensic and valuation services community at the AICPA. In 2015, he received the Standing Ovation Award from the AICPA and participates in the AICPA CFF Mentor Program. David is also a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPAs) where he has been actively involved in forensic, litigation and valuation services committees.
