Q: Clients also give StoneTurn high marks for being extremely responsive. Can you tell us about a time when you saw this in action?
A client wanted us to perform a review of its internal controls within two weeks and prior to the next board meeting. While there was some initial skepticism at StoneTurn’s ability to get the job done in the required timeframe, given the number of documents involved, we were able to meet the deadline and complete our report, while holding ad hoc meetings with various members of the board and management to discuss the progress of the engagement and their concerns. The client has been impressed by StoneTurn and has praised our firm for being extremely responsive.
Q: Clients say they look to StoneTurn to be a trusted adviser. Can you describe how we serve in that role?
Clients—whether former, current or prospective—have looked to StoneTurn for advice on a number of issues. We are often called upon, for example, to review and assess auditors’ independence issues, after an auditor has completed work for a client.
Q: What do you believe sets StoneTurn apart?
The involvement of Partners and staff alike in engagements is what sets StoneTurn apart. I have been impressed by the willingness of Partners to work alongside staff to get the work done.
