StoneTurn Welcomes Maureen Loftus, Continues New York Expansion

NEW YORK, NY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–StoneTurn Group, a forensic accounting and dispute consulting firm, today welcomes Maureen Loftus to the New York office. Maureen has economic consulting and forensic accounting experience in a variety of industries and has testified as an expert witness in complex litigation matters, specializing in damages quantification and economic harm calculations.

Maureen Loftus has more than 25 years of economic consulting and expert witness experience in a variety of industries, including media and entertainment, consumer products, insurance, telecommunications, manufacturing, and financial services. In the litigation consulting arena, Maureen specializes in developing damages models and valuing businesses in cases involving intellectual property, business interruption, product liability, lender liability, accountant malpractice, post-acquisition disputes and partnership dissolutions. She has provided expert testimony in federal and state courts, as well as international arbitrations, on matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, patent infringement and trademark damages, trade secret misappropriation, fraud investigations, and liquidated damages. She has also provided investigative accounting services in matters involving mutual fund business practices, insurance broker business practices, embezzlement, fraudulent transactions, manipulation of accounting records, and theft of corporate assets.

Maureen, a CPA, began her career at Price Waterhouse (now PwC) where she was ultimately promoted to Partner. She was also a Partner in the Financial Advisory Services practice of Deloitte & Touche. After seventeen years in the “Big 4,” Maureen spent several years specializing in litigation and economic consulting and forensic accounting at Huron Consulting Group and, immediately prior to joining StoneTurn, at Charles River Associates.
