Jonny Frank Talks to the Institute of Management Accountants on Fraud Management

September 18, 2012 – Jonny Frank, a partner in StoneTurn’s New York office, presented to the Institute of Management Accountants’ NY Chapter on “Crime Pays:  Increase the Bottom Line Through Fraud Management.”  Jonny’s presentation focused on identifying “good” and “bad” fraud, assessing and improving existing antifraud programs, creating opportunity and risk inventory, and measuring success.

Jonny Frank Presents to FINRA on Evaluating Remediation Efforts

September 13, 2012 – StoneTurn partner Jonny Frank presented to the Financial Industry Regulation Authority (FINRA) in New York, NY on “Beware the Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing:  Evaluating Respondents’ Remediation Efforts.”  The discussion focused on FINRA’s sanction guidelines and how to consider a respondent’s remedation in the context of the guidelines and any potential impact in sanctions imposed by FINRA.

Alan Ratliff Speaks at the 40th Annual Meeting of the Intellectual Property Owner’s Association

September 11, 2012 – Alan Ratliff, a Partner in StoneTurn’s Houston office, was a panelist and the moderator at the 40th Annual Meeting of the Intellectual Property Owner’s Association held in San Antonio, TX. The panel focused on damages in patent litigation and specifically on “Tips and Tactics for Drafting and Using Settlement Licenses in LItigation Post-ResQNet.

In addition to Alan, the panel consisted of Alan Albright of Bracewell & Giuliani, Karen Vogel Weil of Knobbe Martens and Chris Northcutt of Chevron.
